【InterBEEの場だからこそ伝えたかったこと】
わずか30-40年前まで、人生の経緯を残せる人は偉人しかいなかった。自分のことを考えても、あの1980年代にインドの福祉の世界で戦っていたログも1990年代に起業家として挑戦していたログも、自分の日記でしか残っていない。私の場合は本という形でその軌跡を残したけれど、それだって何万部も売れていない。
しかし今は生き様が世の中に発信される時代。YoutuberやTikTokerになれ、というのではなく、静かな生き様ですら世の中に影響を与える時代でもある。そして、この影響力の源泉としてデジタルが必須。
デジタルは情報を保存し、共有する素晴らしいツールだ。だが、その先にあるのは単なるデータの羅列ではなく、人々の記憶の奥底に刻まれる「魂」である。デジタルは仕様を変え、昔のブログが消えていく時代に、個々が個々の魂に「いま・ここ」を書き込んでいくためのツールとも言える。
もはや情報の時代を越え、デジタルは我々の魂を育む土壌の一部となっている。デジタルは私たちが「いま・ここ」を残す手段であり、それは単なる情報の保存ではなく、私たちが紡ぐ人生の物語そのものとなり、それはその先に繋がれた多くの人が記録媒体となる。「他の人間が記録媒体」というとなんだか不気味だが実際世の中はそうなっていると私からは見える。
人は単なる事象の記録ではなく、その時々の思い、感情、意義を込めて記憶する。デジタルがそれを支え、拡張する。あるブログがどれだけアクセスされたかよりも、その中に詠み込まれた「いま・ここ」が何人の心に触れたかが重要だ。
静かな生き様が力を持つのは、その中に「いま・ここ」がしっかりと刻まれていくからだ。InterBEEのセッションでも世の中的にはYoyokaを支える父であり、主役になるはずのないアキの言葉が私の魂に刻まれ物語を生んだ。一つ一つの瞬間が、デジタルの波となり、私たちの魂を共鳴させる。それが、デジタル時代における人生の作品であり、他者との繋がりの深まりだ。
InterBEEという場は一見、放送機器やデジタルコンテンツの展示会に見えるが、私からするとその根底にそのツールはどんな世界を生み出すのかが発信できる場に見える。映像や音声の制作、編集、伝送、配信、受信、そして視聴体験まで、あらゆる段階でデジタルテクノロジーが活用されている。これにより、よりクリエイティブで柔軟な表現が可能になり、受け取る側との双方向性が増している。
しかし、単なる技術の進歩だけでなく、これまでにない形で生き様や物語が伝わるようになってきた。映像や音声だけでなく、制作者の「いま・ここ」がデジタルを通じて視聴者に届く。
デジタルが私たちの魂を刻む新しい手段となる中で、イベントはその場で交流し、新たなアイデアが生まれる場でもある。一方向の情報の受け渡しではなく、参加者同士が自分の視点や体験を共有し合うことで、より深いつながりとインスピレーションが生まれる。
そして、このデジタル時代において、静かながらも力強い生き様は、大きな影響を持つ。先ほど以下のようなメッセージをもらった。
「本当にそれぞれを発揮していくいける時代が幕開け！遠慮なく自分自身を発揮して、お互いに幸せであれる時代の到来なのかなと感じます。全身でそれを表現されている浩美さんはやっぱり生き様のリーダーです！私もガンガン、自分を発揮して生きます！」
私の生き様が拡張して、他の魂を動かしている。
決して自分が目立つことがすべてではない。静かな影響力というものに焦点をあてる時代の幕開けだ。
[What I Wanted to Convey at the InterBEE Venue]
<The Era of Life as a Work of Art – Individual “Ways of Living” and Quiet Influence in the Digital Age>
Until just 30-40 years ago, only notable figures could leave records of their life journey. Even in my own case, the logs of my struggles in Indian welfare work in the 1980s and my entrepreneurial challenges in the 1990s only remain in my personal diaries. I managed to preserve my journey in the form of books, but even those didn’t sell tens of thousands of copies.
However, now we live in an era where our ways of living can be shared with the world. This doesn’t mean everyone should become YouTubers or TikTokers—it’s an age where even quiet lifestyles can influence society. And digital technology has become essential as the source of this influence.
Digital technology is a wonderful tool for preserving and sharing information. Yet what lies beyond is not merely a collection of data, but “soul” that becomes etched into the depths of people’s memories. In an age where digital specifications change and old blogs disappear, digital technology can be considered a tool for individuals to inscribe their “here and now” into the souls of others.
Beyond the information age, digital technology has become part of the soil that nurtures our souls. Digital is our means of preserving the “here and now,” and this isn’t just about storing information—it becomes the very story of our lives, with many connected people serving as recording media. Saying “other humans are recording media” may sound eerie, but this is how I see the world evolving.
People don’t simply record events—they remember them infused with thoughts, emotions, and significance from each moment. Digital technology supports and expands this. What matters more than how many people accessed a blog is how many hearts were touched by the “here and now” encoded within it.
Quiet ways of living gain power because the “here and now” becomes firmly etched within them. Even at the InterBEE session, the words of Aki—who is known to the world as Yoyoka’s father and who wasn’t meant to be the main character—became engraved in my soul and generated a story. Each moment becomes a digital wave, causing our souls to resonate. That is the creative work of life in the digital age and the deepening of connections with others.
The InterBEE venue may appear at first glance to be an exhibition of broadcasting equipment and digital content, but from my perspective, it seems like a place where one can communicate what kind of world these tools can create. Digital technology is utilized at every stage—from production, editing, transmission, distribution, and reception of video and audio, to the viewing experience itself. This enables more creative and flexible expression and increases interactivity with receivers.
However, beyond mere technological advancement, life stories and narratives are being conveyed in unprecedented ways. Not just through video and audio, but the creator’s “here and now” reaches viewers through digital means.
As digital becomes a new way to inscribe our souls, events become places where people interact and new ideas are born. Rather than one-way information transfer, participants share their perspectives and experiences, creating deeper connections and inspiration.
And in this digital age, quiet yet powerful ways of living have significant influence. I just received the following message:
“Truly an era is beginning where everyone can express themselves fully! I feel we’re entering an age where we can express ourselves without reservation and be happy together. Hiromi-san, who expresses this with her whole being, is indeed a leader in living authentically! I too will live by expressing myself boldly!”
My way of living extends outward, moving the souls of others.
Standing out isn’t everything. We’re witnessing the dawn of an era that focuses on quiet influence.
