瞑想としてのゴンドアート
絵を本格的に描き始めて2年になる。
私にとってのゴンドアートは精神性と瞑想的な体験。
AIで簡単に多くのことが高速に処理できる現代において、ゆっくりと時間をかけて作品を仕上げる行為は、自分にとって精神的な探求や瞑想的な体験になる。ゴンドアートの緻密な柄は写経に近いような行為。均一に描けない線（細かく見るとかなり雑）も自分のその瞬間の思いがそのまま。
ありえないくらいの時間をかけて、制作に向かい合うことがそのまま結果の制作物に表現されていて、見る方にも伝わるのだと思う。忙しい日常だからこそ、直接役に立たない行為に対して、心を落ち着かせることができるかも。
なぜ、このアートにハマったかというと、伝統の継承と人々の日々の暮らしというような思想が根底にある。
ゴンドアートは、古くから受け継がれてきた技法や様式を基盤としている。そして、一般の人々が暮らしの中で描いてきた、決して高尚なものではないアート。
そして、私が一番惹かれるのはプリミティブということかも。
精霊や神々への祈りをもとに描かれていて、アートを売ろうとか、価格を上げようとか、そういう価値観ではないところ。

For me, Gond Art represents a spiritual and meditative experience.
In today’s world where AI can process many things quickly and easily, the act of slowly completing artwork over time becomes a spiritual exploration and meditative practice for me. The intricate patterns of Gond Art feel similar to copying sutras. The lines that can’t be drawn perfectly uniformly (quite rough when viewed up close) directly reflect my thoughts in that moment.
I believe that the incredible amount of time spent facing the creative process is expressed in the resulting work and resonates with viewers. Perhaps in our busy daily lives, engaging in an activity with no direct practical purpose allows us to calm our minds.
The reason I became fascinated with this art form is its foundation in the preservation of tradition and connection to people’s everyday lives. Gond Art is based on techniques and styles passed down through generations. It’s not a lofty art form but one created by ordinary people as part of their daily existence.
What attracts me most might be its primitive nature. It’s drawn based on prayers to spirits and deities, without concerns about selling art or increasing its value—free from such motivations.
